The Sight First Campaign given by Lions Clubs International, to remove the reversible blindness from the world, our club organised first free eye operation camp in October, 1984 at Dera Bassi. Thereafter one Free Eye Operations Camp was organised every year in the month of October/November, at Satsang Bhawan, Sector 26, Chandigarh.  For the last six years Lions Club Chandigarh Central organise two free eye operation camps every year. In each camp 55-60 cataract operation are performed. We provide free treatment, boarding & lodging and the spectacles to every patient. The 34th Free Eye Operation camp was from 3rd October 2004 to 11th October 2004. More than 400 patients diagnosed and 81 patients were operated.
