SERVICE ACTIVITIES
- 1. Old age Home
- We are running an Old age home for old destitute persons in Sector 15-D, Chandigarh under the Chairmanship of Lion Dr B S Aggarwal. We provide complete boarding, lodging, clothes and medical treatment free of cost.
- 2. Lions Bal Vidya Mandir
- A primary school for the children of Kumhar Colony & Janta Colony in Sector 25, Chandigarh. We provide free books, stationary and the uniform.
- 3. Free Eye Operation Camp
- We organise two free eye operation camps every year. In each camp 55-60 cataract operation are performed. We provide free treatment, boarding & lodging and the spectacles to every patient.
- In the Sight First Campaign we also create awareness for the eye donation
4. Sarai (Shelter) for Outdoor Patients & Attendants
- We built a block of Sarai in PGI , Sector 12, Chandigarh which can accommodate about 100 persons. This block costing Rs 2.4 million ($ 50,000) and was completed in record time of one year. This block was handed over to the authorities on 4th December, 1994.
- 5. Other Projects
- We organise Blood Donation Camps, Family Welfare Projects like Polio Vaccination, Care of Mother, Help to marriage of poor girls, Diabetes Awareness Campaign, Cultural & Sports activities in Schools from time to time. We also help the marriage of poor girls.
